As our visits to the parks have increased, we continue to spend time dining at the multiple Disney restaurants available. While our first time dinner experience at River Belle Terrance was okay, we gave it another chance this summer on D23 Day when we were looking for a lunch option.
Nestled in the heart of Frontierland, this quaint eatery offers not just delicious food but also a cozy, picturesque setting. The ambiance at River Belle Terrace is just as enchanting as its menu. With its vintage décor, elegant patio seating, and scenic views of the Rivers of America, it’s the perfect backdrop for a leisurely meal. Imagine sitting with your family, enjoying the gentle breeze and watching the Mark Twain Riverboat glide by – pure bliss! It’s the kind of cozy, and quaint dining experience that allows you to relax and soak in the magic of Disneyland.
I regularly say this but if you are planning a Disneyland trip, consider booking table service restaurants. This is such a great treat and reward for the parents after all the planning that goes in for the kiddos. River Belle Terrance has coffee and alcohol options too, so again a nice treat for the adults!
Another benefit to table service restaurants is that you’ll have the option for indoor dining which is a great relief on sunny days or even those chillier days in the winter. I like to save my mobile orders for the smaller seasonal bites, or you know, the occasional Dole Whip!
During this last trip to Disney, we made lunch reservations a day before as we completely forgot to book them ahead. We were on the fence but booked it anyways as we knew we had a heat wave of 90+ degrees that weekend. Also to be noted, don’t be fooled by mobile orders. That same Sunday mobile orders at Holly Jolly needed to be placed in the morning to guarantee a 12:15pm order.
We were so glad that we booked reservations, the sun was blaring that morning and even though we entered the park around 9:30am, the sunrays were strong, and we were glad to have a reservation with indoor dining to give us a break. We were even more pleasantly surprised when we realized the Sunday brunch menu was still being offered even with our 11:45am lunch reservations!
My husband ordered the Big Belle, I ordered the Buttermilk Chicken (also a sandwich) and our five-year-old daughter ordered pancakes! All of our meals were a complete hit! Don’t be intimidated by the sandwich size. While the Big Belle is pretty massive you can definitely share this or just refrain from eating s slice or two of the Texas Style Toast. As for the Buttermilk Chicken I held back from eating one slice of bread but was able to enjoy the entire meal. As for our kiddo, she left no crumbs! Safe to say, lunch was kid-approved! Always a hit for parents when spending that money on Disney Dining!
I have to say the best part was the fancy and beautiful interior design of the River Belle Terrance. It’s just so beautiful to take in. We plan to return here for either a late breakfast or again early lunch. A total recommendation on our end! Planning a magical family dining experience at Disneyland’s River Belle Terrace can be the highlight of your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. Hope this helps with your Disney planning!
