One of my favorite things to do each season includes carefully building my capsule wardrobe. The idea of a capsule wardrobe really ignited in me after visiting Europe for the first time, somewhere around seven years ago . I recall my first trip to Paris and was mesmerized by all the surrounding fashion and their carefully curated closets. Of course, it may have to do with the fact that I just happened to be there during Paris fashion week.
Since giving birth earlier this summer, I opted to carefully assess what my wardrobe needs would be post maternity. Fortunately, I had purchased some of my key clothing items from PinkBlush and was able to transition these pieces into post maternity wear. You can view my prior blog post on my maternity capsule wardrobe here. One thing I knew was that I didn’t want to jump in immediately and begin purchasing larger size clothes; I wanted to give my body time to adjust to life as a new mama.
I’m key on adding only what I truly love to my wardrobe and when I no longer see an item serves its purpose I have no problem letting it go. This fall season I’m focusing on adding hues of camel, rust and wine to my existing color palette.
I’m simply in love with the bell-sleeve wrap dress that PinkBlush gifted me. The mustard hue makes it a great addition to my fall capsule wardrobe. Talk about a versatile piece! I’m wearing a size small here (my height is 5’4″ for reference). This dress can be worn to the office, Sunday service or even date night. I love that it can be paired with ankle boots, sandals or heels. Throw on a denim jacket and you bet you’ll be looking chic while running errands. This is definitely sticking around as a staple in my wardrobe because I know that based on the fit it can accommodate a baby bump (still on the fence if there will be one in the future) and is nursing friendly.
