If you are planning your trip to Disneyland, you have probably already started eyeing places to eat and best foods to try at Disneyland. Cafe Orleans is a tried and true sit down restaurant that I recommend over and over again. It’s great for adults but even the picky eaters, like my five -year-old daughter will love the menu options.
Cafe Orleans stands out as a favorite choice for both first-time visitors and seasoned Disney-goers. Tucked away in the enchanting New Orleans Square, this sit-down restaurant offers a delightful escape with its unique blend of atmosphere, food, and Disney magic.
We are frequent Disney go-ers and use our planner to make sure that we carve out time for all the fun adult things, like eating at the good spots of course! Here’s the link to our printable planner so that you too can start planning your perfect Disney Day!
The Aesthetic of Cafe Orleans
Stepping into Cafe Orleans feels like being transported to the heart of New Orleans. The restaurant beautifully captures the essence of Southern charm with its rustic ironwork, vibrant colors, and views of the bustling street life that mimic Mardi Gras parades. Whether you choose to dine indoors or al fresco on the patio, the ambiance is both welcoming and festive.
Where to Find It
Located in New Orleans Square, Cafe Orleans is conveniently situated near popular attractions like the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean. Its central location makes it an ideal spot to take a break from the excitement and enjoy a leisurely meal.
The Dining Experience
At Cafe Orleans, the dining experience is as delightful as the surroundings. It’s a place where adults can savor a glass of wine while children are enchanted by the whimsical decor and friendly staff. We love the fact that the adults can indulge in a drink while having sit down service. The menu offers something for everyone, from classic French and Creole-inspired dishes to kid-friendly options. Don’t miss the chance to try the famous Monte Cristo sandwich or the delectable pommes frites.
What We Ate
- Blackened Shrimp Alfredo Pasta
- Mint Julep
- Mickey’s Cheesy Macaroni with Market Vegetables
- Battered & Fried Monte Cristo Sandwich
The food was delicious and filling. We opted to eat outdoors, and the ambience was just so nice.
Tips for Enjoying Cafe Orleans
Make Reservations ahead of time to avoid waiting in line as a walk up. There are times when walk up isn’t even available, so if you’re making a Disney Trip for only a day or two, I highly recommend that you book this at least 30 days out.
Final Thoughts
Cafe Orleans holds a special place in the hearts of many Disney fans. With its enchanting atmosphere, delectable menu, and prime location, it’s no wonder visitors return time and again.
My final rating here comes in at
Rating: 5 out of 5.
This is one of my favorite Disneyland Dining options that offers table service. I love that you have the option to eat indoors or out. The food is well worth the money spent and gives the family a good place to catch a break.
It’s truly one of the best Disneyland dining options, offering both table service and a charming setting that provides a much-needed break during a busy park day.
